With a population of approximately 72 million, Thailand is the geographic center of Southeast Asia and has a strong logistics and infrastructure base. The automotive industry has long been a key industry, but in recent years, the country has been undergoing a structural shift to high-value-added fields such as biotechnology, medicine, and digital technology. Chulalongkorn University, Mahidol University, and Kasetsart University are internationally recognized for their excellence in medicine, agriculture, and life sciences, and are active in joint research with industry. As a key location in the Mekong Economic Zone, the region occupies an important position as a starting point for technological and business development in neighboring countries.
Project

The Trans-Disciplinary Society (Chō-Ibun'ya Gakkai) is a venue for researchers, major corporations, small manufacturers, and ventures to fuse their knowledge and technologies through discussion, transcending differences in fields and industries. It aims to identify new research themes and challenges that humanity should face and to jointly advance research. The Trans-Disciplinary Society, Thailand Conference will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2027.

Tech Planter is the largest real tech venture ecosystem in Asia, solving unsolved "deep issues" with "deep tech", a collection of science and technology. The next Tech Planter in Thailand will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026.
