Leveraging this opportunity, Real-World utilized its network of global innovation support organizations to invite overseas startups to LiSH. This meetup was planned to provide them with a chance to learn about LiSH, which is a part of the Real-World ecosystem. We believe that LiSH can be a beneficial location for overseas companies considering establishing R&D bases in Japan.

The program for the day began with an introduction to Leave a Nest. They operate in Japan and overseas.TECH PLANTERWe introduced Leave a Nest's vision of aiming for the development of science and technology and contribution to the Earth through activities such as the Super Interdisciplinary Science and Technology Conference. Furthermore, we introduced our upcoming plans in Thailand, Malaysia, and Taiwan. TECH PLANTERand scheduled to be held in JapanSuperliminal Interdisciplinary Society (HIC)and ... and Global Bridge Conference (GBC)He also introduced planned future projects, such as [example], and called for participation.

Next, we introduced LiSH. LiSH is a research and development base in the Takanawa Gateway City, promoted in collaboration by JR East and LNES. It aims to accelerate the social implementation of science and technology by promoting R&D in a wide range of fields, including environment, food, and healthcare, while coexisting with the urban community.

LiSH houses several overseas companies in addition to domestic ones. In addition to labs and coworking spaces, tenants can also utilize studios to hold events for partner exploration. Most recently, on March 17th, Realtech Fund invited Japanese companies to LiSH, and a Singapore-based ventureAccelerated MaterialsHeld a showcase.

Following that, each organization and venture company delivered their one-minute pitches. The participating startups spanned diverse fields such as food, healthcare, navigation, and legal solutions systems. Each company passionately introduced their innovations and business content, and we could feel their strong desire to expand into Japan.

After the pitch, participants were guided to the sixth floor, where the lab is located, and the seventh floor, which houses the coworking space. They were able to experience the real atmosphere of LiSH by seeing residents actively working in private rooms and shared spaces. Finally, they returned to the studio room for a networking session, concluding the program.

Through this meetup, we hope that participants will become even more interested in expanding their businesses in Japan and consider LiSH as a candidate for a research and development base in the future. Real-world will support idea generation among participants and the creation of collaborations with domestic and international partners. We will continue to support researchers and startups who tackle global challenges using science and technology.
