Background: The necessity of new business creation and global collaboration for regional companies
As the domestic market matures and the population declines, regional companies are being called upon to create new value that goes beyond the extension of existing businesses. In particular, collaboration with overseas startups to introduce technology and co-create is drawing attention as an effective means to launch new businesses in a short period of time.
In Hiroshima Prefecture, based on this background, we are promoting initiatives to create demonstration projects by collaborating with companies within the prefecture and overseas startups. Leveraging our network of researchers and companies both domestically and internationally, Leave-a-Nest will support the creation of collaborations and project formation within this initiative.

This seminar will provide an overview of the business, outline the participation process, and feature presentations of specific case studies from companies that have previously participated in this program. The positioning and significance of this project
This project supports demonstration projects aimed at solving social issues and creating new businesses in the environmental and energy fields through collaboration between companies in Hiroshima Prefecture and overseas startups. The goal is not merely to introduce technology, but to foster new value creation through dialogue with players from different fields and cultures.
Under the philosophy of realizing scientific and technological development and contributing to the Earth, L-NEST works to create regional innovations by bridging domestic and international researchers, companies, and local governments. In this project as well, we provide integrated support from searching for partners to demonstration design and commercialization.
Future development
Following this seminar, we will be accepting applications from companies to participate in this project until June 30, 2026 (the application form will be released at a later date). Selected companies will proceed with designing demonstration projects in collaboration with overseas startups and aim to produce results within the fiscal year.
L-NES will promote initiatives to create new industry models through collaboration between companies in Hiroshima Prefecture and overseas startups, with the aim of expanding to other regions.
