Leave a Nest Co., Ltd. in collaboration with Ibaraki Prefecture The interesting program continues for its third year from 2024, inviting deep tech startups from Southeast Asia who are interested in the Japanese market and seeking research, development, and POC partners.
Ibaraki Prefecture has abundant natural, land, and technological resources as it is well-known for agriculturethe manufacturing hub of global manufacturing companies such as HITACHI and top-tier research institutes such as Tsukuba University and JAXA. Moreover, Ibaraki Prefecture has comprehensive support for international companies who plan to start a business in the prefecture, such as subsidies and VISA application support, etc.

This program is scheduled throughout the fiscal year as follows:

– Now – July 20: Interview and refresher support period
– August: Document Selection for 5 potential startups.

Introduction of potential Japanese partners
Leave a Nest will introduce companies in Ibaraki Prefecture to companies in Southeast Asia who wish to expand into Japan. We can arrange online meeting(s) with Ibaraki companies for further decision-making. -
Application to the program
Your company must submit an application, including your hypothesis of collaboration with a local Ibaraki company or organization, via this form. -
Selection process
Based on the submitted proposal, Leave a Nest and the Government of Ibaraki Prefecture will select the participating companies (August. -
Hands-on support
Leave a Nest will provide selected companies with hands-on support for your Japan market entry. (September - February)

– Alternate Vietnam
A tech venture that develops batteries from sand. They connected with Kikuchi Seiki during the program in 2024. It is now conducting a Proof of Concept (POC) and has established a company in Ibaraki Prefecture.
– Anitech Philippines
An IT tech startup that develops IT systems to monitor agricultural data and control farm environments. It continues development and proof-of-concept with Koibuchi Gakuen.
–Plant origin Thailand
It produces alternative egg protein from rice bran and is collaborating to develop a new product with Koji Lab from Tsukuba University.
– Regene Bio Pte. Ltd Thailand
It produces non-cow milk from microbe fermentation. Now, it is working with Quantum Flowers & Foods to develop the quality of its milk product
– Cleantech and Beyond Thailand
It produces a temperature detection tag with an IoT system. It is under development and in the proof-of-concept phase with Chinone Electric.
– GreenVisionPH Philippines
It develops organic and eco-friendly fertilizer from agricultural waste. It is working with international organizations to explore the potential of this fertilizer in various countries. Koibuchi Gakuen For the Proof of Concept.
