The Deep Tech Tour in Malaysia (February 2024) and May 2024 also have only a few seats left!

Deep Tech Tour in Malaysia, February 22-24, 2024.

Although it is called a "tour," it is not just a visit, but a project in which participants make presentations at each place they visit to talk about their company's technology and vision, and actively engage in activities to create new businesses (seeAbout Deep Tech Tours(See Section 2.1.2.).

The theme of this year's program was "Malaysia's Shift to High Income Industry. On the first day, we learned about the deep-tech ecosystem, focusing on the Cyberjaya area, and on the second day, we came into contact with new industries that are undergoing research and development in Malaysia, such as space development. We visited eight places in three days, including government agencies, universities, and venture companies, and on the last day we participated in the Hyper Interdisciplinary Conference in Malaysia.

All of the participating companies were able to build direct relationships with the organizations they visited and return home with new opportunities for business creation. Please read to the end of this report for a summary of what happened at the sites visited.

<Participant's voice

I was able to share precious time and meet people I would not normally meet through this tour, which was a very meaningful experience. I was able to sense and experience the potential of Malaysia, and I was very impressed by the sincere efforts of everyone at RIVANES. I am especially pleased with the guidance you gave us in our presentations, and I am truly delighted that the results of our efforts have been reflected in our work this time around."

I have to admit that until I came, I thought the theme was space..." I thought it would be different from my company's business domain, but instead of closing my ears because I thought it was irrelevant, I found it interesting to attend the whole day, meet related coral researchers at UKM's university, and hear about Independence-X, a venture company that promotes cutting-edge space development, in terms of data logging. I found that interesting."

A venture company I interviewed asked me if I would like to participate in an exhibition with them. At first I thought it would take about two years to bring the product over here, but I thought it would be a new discovery to go to an exhibition with them."

**Thank you to all participants.
