Deep Tech Tour in Vietnam" will be held from February 1 to 3, 2024. Under the theme of "Agriculture and Manufacturing," participants will learn about the latest research, technology trends, and production site issues in the agriculture and fishery industries that have supported Vietnam's development. Vietnam has set "Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI)" as the three pillars of its economy, which are the main driving forces of its economic growth. The introduction of technology has been promoted in line with local industry. By visiting local government agencies, incubators, and universities, we are able to discover key players and create new businesses. On the last day, you will be able to participate in the Hyper Interdisciplinary Conference in Vietnam, a conference that brings together a diverse range of local researchers. Toshihiro Ishizawa Director, Human Resource Development Division / People Making Research Center (Concurrent) Management Planning Office Graduated from the Graduate School of Frontier Sciences, The University of Tokyo in 2007 with a Ph.D. in Life Sciences. Gained approximately three years of internship experience during his doctoral studies and joined Leave a Nest Co., Ltd. in 2008. After serving as Director of the Osaka Office, General Manager of the Regional Development Division, and General Manager of the Strategy Development Division, he became Director of the People Making Research Center in May 2026. He is involved in building regional ecosystems to create R&D-originated ventures that take flight from research institutions to the world using the Tech Planners concept, and in supporting new business creation for core regional companies.
