With the world's situation changing rapidly, what should the global strategy of the future be? At RIVERNESS, we believe that bridging knowledge beyond borders of countries, cultures, and disciplines is at the core of the concept of "knowledge manufacturing". Accelerate Globalization by Bridging Knowledge Beyond Borders", the Global Bridge Program (GBP) will create a mechanism for collaboration across countries and organizations.

Liberace's own globalization steps
As a science bridge communicator, LIVERNESS, which upholds the philosophy of "realizing the development of science and technology and contributing to the Earth," has been expanding its business since its establishment in 2002 with "bridge = bridging" as its strength. This means that we have expanded our field of bridge-building beyond simply "communicating science and technology in an easy-to-understand manner" to transcend national and regional boundaries.
Since around 2005, prior to the establishment of our overseas subsidiaries, we had been accumulating cross-border initiatives such as laboratory classes in the U.S., attracting Korean bio ventures to Japan, and training human resources and marketing research equipment at overseas universities.
Since 2010, we have established local subsidiaries in Singapore (2010), the United States (2011), Malaysia (2013), the United Kingdom (2016), and the Philippines (2021), and are working with local partners to build knowledge platforms in diverse areas such as education, human resources, research, and start-ups. We have established local subsidiaries in the United Kingdom (2016) and the Philippines (2021). As a core project, the Super Interdisciplinary Conference was first held in Malaysia as an international conference in 2017 and expanded to six Southeast Asian countries in 2023 by expanding the number of countries hosting the conference in turn.
The turning point was the expansion of TECH PLANTER to six Southeast Asian countries (Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam) in 2018. With this expansion, the seed acceleration program has evolved from a "point" activity to a "surface connection" that links the entire region. In addition to discovering the seeds of technology in each country, the program has evolved into an initiative that bridges the gap between Japanese science and technology in order to gain a deeper understanding of the issues unique to each country and region and to solve them.

A society in which the economy circulates from a knowledge base - expanding the number of priority areas to be connected in terms of surfaces.
Based on the concept of "knowledge manufacturing," LIVERNESS has been promoting efforts to create new knowledge by linking knowledge with knowledge. In order to break away from dependence on financial capital, population, and natural resources, and to realize a world in which the economy circulates around knowledge, borderless bridging across countries, cultures, and fields is essential.
The Global Bridge Program promotes borderless knowledge bridging for all types of domestic and international organizations, including companies, universities/research institutes, local governments, and schools, by providing support for global strategy formulation, partner search, demonstration, and commercialization.
Going forward, based on the network that RIVANES has built to date, we will further expand our surface connections in three key regions: Southeast Asia (Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam), Europe (UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, Belgium), and the Pacific Rim (Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Hong Kong, Australia, We will further expand our surface connections in three key regions: Europe (United Kingdom, France, Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, and Belgium), the Pacific Rim (Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Hong Kong, Australia, and the United States). By connecting these regions in both directions, we will further accelerate the bridging of global knowledge by creating a mechanism for knowledge exchange and mutual value enhancement.

Inbound Globalization Makes Japan Stronger
When one thinks of globalization, one may generally think of moves to go outward, such as establishing overseas offices or expanding sales channels. However, the reality is that it is difficult to capture overseas markets out of the blue unless you have advanced technology and capital. This is where the concept of "inbound globalization" comes in.
We will attract overseas venture companies and universities and promote R&D, demonstration, manufacturing, human resource development, and investment cultivation in cooperation with Japanese companies. Based on this concept, RIVANES has been connecting overseas ventures with Japanese manufacturing companies in Ota Ward and Ibaraki Prefecture, and has provided support for companies aiming for global expansion into Japan and training programs for universities visiting Japan in cooperation with Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan, South Korea, and other countries.
The Global Bridge Program aims to help Japan grow together with the rest of the world by building bridges of knowledge through both "outbound" and "inbound" activities. The Global Bridge Program aims to help Japan grow together with the rest of the world by building bridges of knowledge.
