Germany
Germany boasts the highest R&D investment ratio in Europe at approximately 3.1% of GDP, and has a long-standing strong manufacturing base. The National Strategy “Industry 4.0” has promoted digitalization, automation, and the use of cyber-physical systems, with deep tech sectors in precision machinery, environmental technology, and materials particularly developing. Furthermore, there are numerous research institutions that are responsible for applied research from the initial stage to industrialization, such as the Max Planck Institute and Fraunhofer Institute, and collaboration with universities is thriving. Riveness aims to connect the deep tech of Japan’s research stage with Germany’s advanced manufacturing and demonstration infrastructure, accelerating the transition to practical application and mass production.
Project
