Online Seminar] Accelerating Business Expansion into ASEAN, a Global Growth Hub

The ASEAN countries are on the verge of economic growth, but they also face many unresolved social issues. 2023 will mark the 50th anniversary of Japan-ASEAN Friendship and Cooperation, and the relationship between ASEAN countries and Japan is about to reach a major turning point.

Since 2014, LIVERNESS has been forming a community with local entrepreneurs in Southeast Asia through the operation of Tech Planter. As we have been promoting the creation of problem-solving businesses through collaboration between them and Japanese companies, we have come to understand that in order for Japanese companies to consider and develop businesses in ASEAN, it is necessary to accumulate primary information on the ground, meet key persons who can be the engine for business promotion, and unite ventures with technology and involve local institutions. We have also come to understand the importance of providing support to accompany the venture business in its development into a business model that unites ventures with technology and involves local institutions. Based on this knowledge, we have been providing support for Southeast Asian expansion of ventures and local SMEs in cooperation with government agencies and local governments.

We will be holding a seminar for local governments and support organizations to provide information on the key points of program design and operation and the roles required of support organizations, based on specific examples of support for overseas expansion of local companies by local governments. We look forward to your participation.

We promote partnerships and collaborations between Japanese deep-tech ventures and local companies, conglomerates, government agencies, universities, and other research institutions that aim to solve social issues and develop new businesses in the local market. For the six companies selected from among the 30 applications received, we are providing companion support by examining the local business model, selecting the companies to visit and discuss the model, and accompanying the companies to the local market to materialize the model.
