Confirmation Items for Applying to Exhibit at Singapore SWITCH

 

Handling of personal information

1. Purpose of Use

The personal information entered into this form will be collected, used, and managed by Yokohama City and "Leave a Nest Co., Ltd." (collectively referred to as "the organizers"), which has been commissioned by Yokohama City to undertake the "YOKOHAMA GO GLOBAL PROJECT 2026 (Startup Overseas Expansion Program)." This will be done with appropriate protective measures in place, for the following purposes:

(1) Proper operation of the YOKOHAMA GO GLOBAL PROJECT 2026 (Startup Overseas Expansion Program) (hereinafter referred to as the "Program").

(2) Communication of information related to this program

 

2. Prohibition of Non-Purposeful Use

The operator will strictly manage the personally identifiable information entered, pay full attention to privacy protection, and will not use it for any purpose other than those specified in "1. Purpose of Use." However, disclosure may be made to a third party to whom the operator has outsourced the business, or in any of the following cases.

(1) For program operation, post-adoption support, matching, etc., as necessary, regarding the program

When sharing with judges, supporters, instructors, experts, partner companies, etc. (hereinafter referred to as "stakeholders")

(2) When it is necessary for the protection of a person's life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain the applicant's consent.

(3) In cases where disclosure or provision is requested based on other laws and regulations.

 

3. Changes to Personal Information Handling Practices

We may change these privacy practices without notifying applicants, except for changes that materially affect applicants.

 

For submitting application documents

By submitting your application documents, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

Confirm that there are no discrepancies in the application documents.

(2) The contents of the application documents, etc. do not violate laws and regulations or public order and morals, or are not likely to do so.

(3) Intellectual property rights described in application documents, etc. shall belong to the applicant. However, confidential information such as patents, utility models, and know-how shall be described to the extent that it does not cause any problems, after the applicant has taken appropriate measures at their own responsibility.

(4) The content of application documents, etc. will be shared with the operator and judges. Furthermore, it will be shared and used with parties involved in the program to the extent necessary for post-acceptance support, matching, etc.

(5) The applicant acknowledges that even if damages occur due to the activities of related parties in applying for and implementing this program, such related parties shall not be liable for damages to the extent that their activities were necessary and reasonable.

(6) The applicant hereby represents and warrants that they do not fall under any anti-social forces as listed below.

(1) That the applicant's representative or officers, etc., are not members of a violent group, a violent group, or a corporation etc. controlled by a violent group, currently or in the future.

② Promptly submit a list of officers and other relevant documents to the operator upon request, as necessary.

③ To confirm whether or not you fall under anti-social forces, you agree that information contained in application documents, lists of officers, etc. may be provided to the Kanagawa Prefectural Police Headquarters.

(7) If it is found to be in violation of (1), (2), or (6)① above, or if any act that significantly damages the operator's reputation occurs, participation in this program may be canceled without notice.

Even if damages occur due to the cancellation of a disposition, the operator shall not be held liable for any such damages.

(9) To be liable for damages incurred by the operator due to the applicant's violation of (6)①.

The support provided by this program is premised on its implementation until the end of January in the 9th year of the Reiwa era.

 

Regarding the examination results

The results of the review will be notified to the applicant via email.

The review results are generally not disclosed, but the names, logos, business content, etc., of selected companies may be publicly announced.

3. If false information is discovered or it is found that the eligibility requirements are not met after the notification of examination results, the adoption will be invalidated. Furthermore, if inappropriate content is discovered after adoption or during program participation, participation may be canceled.

 

Regarding participation in the Overseas Expansion Program (SWITCH)

1. With regard to travel expenses, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

(1) Visa acquisition fees and transportation costs related to visa acquisition shall be borne by the applicant.

(2) The applicant will be responsible for their own accommodation, food, transportation, and other expenses during the program period.

2. The following matters will be accepted in relation to overseas travel insurance.

(1) Applicants shall enroll in overseas travel insurance that covers the entire period of this program. The cost shall be borne by the applicant.

(2) In relation to this insurance, the operator shall not be liable for any damages arising from accidents during the program period.

3. You agree to the following additional terms and conditions.

(1) The operator shall not bear the applicant's airfare (total of round-trip airfare and other expenses such as airport facility usage fees), local accommodation costs, passport acquisition costs, PCR test costs, vaccination costs, transportation and accommodation costs within Japan, or any other expenses incurred.

(2) Applicants shall comply with the operator's decisions regarding their eligibility to participate in the program. Applicants shall also implement appropriate infection control measures in their work related to this program, and in case of infection, shall report it to the operator without delay and respond at their own responsibility.

(3) The Organizer reserves the right to cancel or postpone all or part of this Program. The Organizer shall not be liable for any injury, damage, cost, delay, inability, or other tort suffered by the applicant, agent, or any third party, regardless of whether it was caused by acts or omissions of the Organizer due to their willful misconduct or negligence in connection with this Program. Furthermore, the Organizer shall not be liable for any damages or results due to natural disasters, labor disputes, terrorism, war, political unrest, immigration restrictions, infectious diseases, or other force majeure events or reasons beyond the Organizer's control.

(4) The Operator shall bear the costs of implementing the program as part of the Operator's public interest business and as support for the applicant from a public interest perspective. The Operator shall not make any representations or warranties to the applicant regarding the following matters.

  • That this program aligns with the applicant's expectations (e.g., business negotiations and their outcomes).
  • To facilitate smooth commercial transactions between applicants and individuals, corporations, and organizations with whom the applicant has contact or engages, including but not limited to individuals, corporations, and organizations introduced by the operator (hereinafter referred to as "Third Parties"), both within and outside the scope of this program.
  • No disputes (including, but not limited to, complaints, objections, and lawsuits) shall arise between the applicant and any third party, either within or outside this program.

The applicant shall not make any claims against the operator for any of the following events, and the operator shall not be liable for any losses or damages arising from or related to the following events.

  • Inability to enter the country due to delays in visa issuance for the applicant and deficiencies in required entry procedures.
  • Inability to participate in all or part of this program due to the applicant's infection or other reasons.
  • The program does not align with the applicant's expectations (e.g., business negotiations and their outcomes).
  • Disruptions in commercial transactions with third parties, both inside and outside of this program.
  • Disputes arising with third parties, both within and outside of this program.

(6) If the Operator determines that the applicant has hindered the Operator's business operations during the preparation, implementation, or follow-up of this program, the Operator may suspend or terminate the applicant's participation in this program. The Operator shall not be liable for any damages or expenses incurred by the applicant due to such suspension or termination.
