<Outline of Deep Tech Tour in the Philippines

We are now recruiting participants for the next Deep Tech Tour in the Philippines.

The Philippines is a country rich in nature consisting of more than 7,000 islands, where the wisdom of indigenous peoples and diverse cultures have combined with natural resources to nurture unique lifestyles and values. In recent years, product development that takes advantage of such cultural backgrounds, utilization of tourism resources, and sustainable business based on local resources have been attracting attention. This theme focuses on the intersection of culture and natural resources, and explores business opportunities originating from the Philippines that are applicable to the global market.

Dates: Thursday, November 6 - Saturday, November 8, 2025

Day1 Visit to the local office of LIVERNESS Philippines, Ateneo University, University of St. Thomas
Day2 Visit government agency DOST-PICEERD, local companies, city tour (free time)
Day3 Hyper Interdisciplinary Conference in the Philippines (https://hic.lne.st/en/schedule/ph2025/)
Participation in poster presentations, short pitches, and auditing at hyper-disciplinary conferences that bring together researchers from across disciplines and organizations

Cost: 450,000 yen/person (excluding tax) 400,000 yen/person (excluding tax) when early bird discount is applied
