LEVANES Corporation, on behalf of the City of Sendai, is promoting the Sendai-Tohoku Expansion Program (STEP), which supports startups from Sendai and the Tohoku region in their efforts to solve global problems. \n<\/span>In the second session (September 6), Ball Wave shared their trials and errors in overseas expansion, highlighting the possibilities and challenges of deep tech startups in the growing market of Southeast Asia. We learned that the key to success is to approach overseas expansion with an awareness of the three axes of primary information, trust, and cross-cultural understanding.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ph.D. (Engineering), studied abroad at KU Leuven (Belgium) in 2014-15, completed doctoral studies at Yokohama National University Graduate School of Environment and Information Studies in 2016, and was a researcher at Tokyo Institute of Technology School of Materials Science and Engineering and a part-time faculty member (assistant professor) at Yokohama National University Center for Higher Education and Universitywide Education from 2017 to 2019 before assuming his current position. Current position. He is also a Visiting Associate Professor at the Deep Tech Serial Innovation Center, Nagoya University.
