With a population of approximately 34 million, Malaysia is a middle-income country with a uniqueness as an Islamic hub and a diverse industrial base ranging from manufacturing to advanced technology. It has strong resource industries such as natural rubber and palm oil, and bioresource research is thriving. Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Universiti Malaya (UM), and Universiti Putra (UPM) have high research capabilities in engineering, agriculture, and life sciences. In addition, due to its geographical proximity to Singapore, it forms part of the \"East-West Innovation Corridor\" that links the two countries, and is becoming increasingly important as a center for international joint research and industrial collaboration.<\/p>\n\r\n\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
